Agents or Bots? Making Sense of AI on the Open Web

A friendly thought

Dear fellow builders, innovators, and AI enthusiasts,
The AI industry is experiencing an extraordinary moment of innovation, and we at Definable AI couldn't be more excited about what's emerging across the ecosystem. Every day, I see remarkable platforms launching new features, pushing boundaries, and exploring different approaches to making AI more accessible and powerful for users around the world.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible work being done by teams across the industry. Whether you're building multi-model platforms, creating agent builders, developing specialized AI tools, or pioneering entirely new categories, you're contributing to a future where AI genuinely serves people's needs. There's room for all of us in this space, and frankly, there's more than enough work to go around.
At Definable AI, we've never seen ourselves as competing in a zero-sum game. The truth is, the problems we're all trying to solve are vast and complex. No single platform will have all the answers, and no single approach will serve every user's needs perfectly. Some users will prefer one interface, others will resonate with different features, and many will use multiple platforms depending on their specific tasks. That's not just okay, it's actually ideal. Diversity in the AI ecosystem means more innovation, more experimentation, and ultimately better outcomes for everyone.
We're building Definable AI with a specific vision in mind, but I recognize that vision is just one of many valid approaches to democratizing AI technology. When I see other platforms launch exciting features or take creative approaches to solving user problems, I don't see threats. I see validation that we're all moving in the right direction. I see inspiration for our own thinking. Most importantly, I see potential collaborators in the broader mission of making AI a force for good in people's lives.
The open exchange of ideas has always driven technological progress. In the early days of personal computing, companies competed fiercely but also learned from each other, borrowed good ideas, and collectively moved the industry forward. The same thing happened with the internet, with mobile technology, and with cloud computing. AI is no different. When one platform figures out a better way to handle multi-model comparison, or another cracks the code on intuitive agent building, the entire industry benefits. Users get better tools, and that rising tide lifts all boats.
I also believe deeply in the principle that innovation should empower users, not platform providers. The platforms that will ultimately succeed are those that put user choice, user control, and user benefit at the center of everything they do. Whether users choose Definable AI or any other platform, what matters most is that they have access to powerful tools that genuinely make their lives easier, their work more productive, and their goals more achievable. If we all keep that north star in mind, we'll build an AI ecosystem that serves humanity rather than just serving ourselves.
There will be natural differentiation, of course. Each platform will have its unique strengths, its particular philosophy, and its specific community of users who resonate with what it offers. Definable AI certainly has our own perspective on how AI should work and what features matter most. But I hold that perspective humbly, knowing that other smart, dedicated teams are working just as hard on their own visions, and those visions are equally valid.
To the teams building in this space alongside us, I want to say thank you. Thank you for pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Thank you for taking risks on new ideas. Thank you for caring about making AI accessible to people who might not otherwise have access to these powerful technologies. The work you're doing matters, and it's making the world better in tangible ways.
As we all continue building, let's remember that we're not just building products or platforms. We're building the foundation for how humanity will interact with artificial intelligence for decades to come. That's a responsibility we all share, and it's one that requires collaboration, mutual respect, and a genuine commitment to putting users first.
The future of AI is bright not because any one platform will dominate, but because many brilliant teams are approaching the same problems from different angles, learning from each other, and collectively raising the bar for what AI can do. Definable AI is proud to be part of that ecosystem, and I'm genuinely excited to see what all of us build together in the months and years ahead.
Here's to innovation, collaboration, and an AI future that truly serves everyone.
With respect and excitement for what's ahead,
Anandesh Sharma
